We use rodent models of human infectious and inflammatory diseases to study molecular and cellular mechanisms of innate and adaptive immunity at mucosal surfaces. Our focus is on pulmonary and intestinal pathogens and allergic responses. Specifically we aim to understand the molecular and metabolic adaptations of group 2 innate lymphoid cells and their roles in regulating inflammatory and antigen-specific immunity, as well as tissue restorative responses. We collaborate with a number of laboratory researchers, clinicians and pharmaceutical industry to translate findings in rodents models to clinical applications.
