By combining machine learning and statistical inference with large genomics datasets, our lab aims to characterize the gene regulatory networks that govern cell identity and function, genetic determinants of their activity, and their association with human diseases. This work encompasses the study of transcription factors, RNA-binding proteins, and non-coding RNAs, with a focus on the role of these factors in development and progression of cancer.
